the ride of my life

  • We weren’t warned that initially when someone receives a G-tube (feeding tube thru stomach), they get diarrhea at first! That equals BED BATH! ... washing off the excrement.
  • A teacher today confessed she understands nursing theory better than education theory (which may explain her rotten test questions!). I on the other hand, understand education theory better than nursing theory. I hope these 2 crossroads intersect in my near future!!
  • Acupuncture & Hot Yoga are good alternatives to relieving stress. I may try these. SOON!
  • Beta-Blocker medications cause uncontrollable flatulence.

“He leadeth me beside the still waters.” ~Psalm 23:2
I miss the bible studies I used to be a part of before this accelerated nursing program began. I miss connecting to God and His people. I miss filling my love tank with His words. Sure, I could read His word more often, but my mind quickly discriminates that free time = study time. Boo.  "Lord, you've placed the Holy Spirit within me to help memorize Scripture. Is there anything you've placed in me to help me memorize nursing textbooks?!"

There is nothing more important than knowing God.
“Let not the wise man boast of his wisdom
or the strong man boast of his strength
or the rich man boast of his riches,
but let him who boasts boast about this:
that he understands and knows me,
that I am the LORD, who exercises kindness,
justice and righteousness on earth,
for in these I delight,”
declares the LORD.  ~Jeremiah 9:23-24

In the corporate world, it is a good thing to be prideful & supremely exalt yourself. Typically, peers trust and respect pridefully exalted people; their trust and respect revolve around this. It's SO the reverse in God's Kingdom. Such a balance to juggle... being a devout Christian in a professionally competitive world.
